Dieters Slim May Be A Little Misleading

Though it is what they want to do Slimming should not be so hard yet there are literally thousands if not millions that could do with shedding a few pounds of unwanted fat. This is personal to me as I have gained and lost many pounds over the years with the help of diets, tonics, programs and even the dreaded exercises.

What does a dieter need to slim?

The most important thing I found I needed to lose weight was a mental picture of what I wanted to look like. This I constantly kept in my mind all the time. It was never exact just really a thought I would think like; " I am trim or I am light or even I look great and thin". Then I had to choose a diet. The truth is there are many many diets that would help anyone slim out there. We all know just by being slimmer it has a great anti aging effect on us. You just need to investigate them to see if they fit into your life and plans and will actually work for you specifically.

What types of diets have worked for you. Please share diets that managed to get you slim so others might find them and benefit.

Chronic Fatigue: New Concepts in Understanding this Disease

By Dr. Gregory Ellis

Attempts to diagnose the causes of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) have failed. The CFS symptom picture is similar to other poorly understood conditions such as Gulf War Syndrome, Sjogren's Syndrome, and fibromyalgia. They all share common symptom patterns that defy attempts to define the causes.

CFS is considered by medicine today to be a subclass of chronic fatigue. Chronic fatigue is characterized by the lack of defining symptoms that allow for a medical diagnosis. The pathology and causes of CFS and of chronic fatigue are unknown.

A small percentage of chronic fatigue sufferers are diagnosed with CFS. The symptoms experienced by people with CFS include:

* headaches

* concentration and memory problems

* headaches

Additional symptoms include:

* sore throats

* feverishness

* psychiatric problems

* feverishness

* sore throats

* psychiatric problems

The symptoms of fatigue impact people's lives in so many ways. There can be divorces, loss of jobs, problems in adjusting to daily living and social needs. These life-changing effects of chronic fatigue exist across the full spectrum of the conditions despite different levels of intensity of the symptom complex.

The Causes of Chronic Fatigue are Many and Don't Allow for a One Cause/One Disease Diagnosis

Scientists and medical doctors are desperately trying to unravel the mysteries of these conditions which disrupt the lives of so many millions of people. Chronic fatigue is one of the major conditions suffered by the vast majority of the population.

Is it possible that vaccines are implicated in some of the chronic diseases of our time? This burning question is all over the news particularly in the condition of autism. Recent research implicated vaccines as one of the causes of Gulf War Syndrome. The idea behind vaccines is to stimulate a protective effect by activating the immune system. But if it turns-on and stays on, then it begins to do damage itself and may lead to the symptoms of CFS.

The argument that vaccines are involved in the cause of disease is a heated one. It's being hotly debated all over the world. The medical and scientific community will hear none of it and trot out their "research" to kill any argument. Research, however, can be used to support any argument, but if you've got the power broker upper hand, then it's your research that's paid attention to.

For the reason that no medical diagnosis can be made, it may be time to look at alternatives to the prevailing belief system. It's not well understood, but there are alternatives to modern medical viewpoints. Although medicine will argue against any attempts to side-step it, there are many other ways to strengthen the immune system and deal with toxic exposures such as vaccines.

It's well understood that people with chronic fatigue and CFS have an imbalance in their immune system. In some of the immune system functional markers, they show some abnormalities:

* macrophages

* NK cells

* macrophages

As of now, there's no obvious connection between CFS and an abnormal immune system. This lack of clarity is what clouds the picture of trying to figue out what's going on. This lack of success has gone on a long time and opens the door to look at therapies that are outside of the mainstream medical community.
