Dieters Slim May Be A Little Misleading

Though it is what they want to do Slimming should not be so hard yet there are literally thousands if not millions that could do with shedding a few pounds of unwanted fat. This is personal to me as I have gained and lost many pounds over the years with the help of diets, tonics, programs and even the dreaded exercises.

What does a dieter need to slim?

The most important thing I found I needed to lose weight was a mental picture of what I wanted to look like. This I constantly kept in my mind all the time. It was never exact just really a thought I would think like; " I am trim or I am light or even I look great and thin". Then I had to choose a diet. The truth is there are many many diets that would help anyone slim out there. We all know just by being slimmer it has a great anti aging effect on us. You just need to investigate them to see if they fit into your life and plans and will actually work for you specifically.

What types of diets have worked for you. Please share diets that managed to get you slim so others might find them and benefit.

Abdominal Exercise Machines Are A Waste Of Money

By Sarah James

How many commercials for ab exercise machines have you seen on TV? If you're like me then it you have seen thousands of 'em!

These ads give the false impression that you will lose your belly fat by doing abdominal exercises using one of their machines. The truth is that's just not how things work. Sure, you may gain some muscle in your midsection with this approach but you will not burn belly fat.

The body does not work like this. It is impossible to target fat in a particular part of the body by exercising that part of the body. Our bodies hold onto additional fat in a particular part of the body (such as the midsection) due to our genes and our genes can't be changed.

The real key to getting the midsection of your dreams is definitely not doing abdominal exercise in order to build additional ab muscle. The lack of muscle is not the problem. The problem is the flab covering up those muscles!

So what you need to do is burn off the excess fat covering your midsection with a dieting plan that is designed to boost the metabolism so that you burn fat faster. A great way of doing that is with a diet that includes a regular "day off" from dieting each week.

The Day Off Diet is the recommended dieting program for boosting the metabolism for faster fat burning. It's an easy diet plan to follow and to stick with until a dieter's weight loss goals are reached.

It's important to spend your time and your money wisely. You can have real results by starting a metabolism boosting diet such as this or you can waste time and money on an ab exercise machine. I think the decision is obvious.

You should also make exercise a part of your life of course. But I recommend starting a heavy strength training routine instead of the kind of low impact exercise that most people waste their time with. And that goes for both men and women.

You will actually get much more in the way of results from doing 30 minutes of strenuous strength than you will from 90 minutes of low impact impact training.
